OnePlus Nord 5G, OnePlus Nord CE software update brings support for Jio 5G

Hello friends, To bring support for Jio 5G network, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has started rolling out firmware updates for OnePlus Nord 5G and OnePlus Nord CE in India. In India, new OxygenOS updates have started getting inside both smartphones. The company announced this software update through the OnePlus Community Forum and the patch is available only for Indian units. A few days back, OnePlus released the OnePlus 10T update for Jio 5G in India.
Along with Jio 5G support, the new firmware update also includes Android’s most recent security patch, which is from October 2022.
OnePlus Nord 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 5G are already compatible with Airtel’s 5G network. Hence, OnePlus Nord and Nord CE 5G customers can now use both Airtel and Jio networks to access 5G services.
Last month, the Indian government announced 5G services in the country. Already Airtel and Jio have started rolling out the 5G network in select cities. Currently, Airtel 5G Plus is available in eight cities, and Jio 5G in four cities.
OnePlus Nord F.16 Update
OnePlus is rolling out the OxygenOS 12 F.16 update based on Android 12 for the OnePlus Nord 5G in India. The update bumps the Android security patch to October 2022 and also brings Jio 5G support to the OnePlus Nord 5G. In addition, the update also improves the stability and liquidity of the system.
OnePlus Nord 5G was launched in July 2022 and is not eligible to get OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13. However, the company will continue to update the Android security patch for the device until July 2023.
OnePlus Nord CE C.08 Update
OnePlus Nord CE 5G is now compatible with Jio 5G as the brand has started rolling out the OxygenOS 12 C.08 update for the smartphone. This firmware version comes with EB2101_11.C.08 and October 2022 Android security patch for OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G is eligible for the Android 13 update. However, the company plans to roll out the OxygenOS 13 open beta update to the smartphone sometime in the first half of next year.
