Apple all work will be done in India
Production does not mean that iPhones will be made in India, but the assembly will be done in India. Parts will still be imported from other countries, with most parts coming from China. Because parts are not made in India. Apple has also started production of its new iPhone 14 in India. Apple first started production of the iPhone SE in India in 2017 and after that production of iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and now iPhone 14 started.
Apple has said in a statement, ‘The iPhone 14 lineup has been launched with groundbreaking technology and safety features. We are very excited to manufacture the iPhone 14 in India
The production of the iPhone 14 will be done at the Foxconn Chennai plant in Apple’s part of India. For your information, let us tell you that Foxconn is the world’s largest electronic contractor. According to the report, by 2025, Apple wants to shift 25% of its entire product line-up to India. Normally the old iPhone was assembled in India, but this time it is clear from the production of the iPhone 14 that many new models will be assembled in India in the future too.

Will the price be lower in India due to the iPhone 14 being assembled?
It is difficult to answer yes or no. ‘Maybe’ the iPhone 14 may or may not be a bit cheap. Because the parts are not made in India and the company has to pay a duty to import them.
However, the company can save up to 20% of the import duty, and hence the price may also come down a bit. But at present, there will be no reduction in prices for a few months or it may not be cheap even in the future.
This is because, in general, the company does not reduce the global pricing for any market. For this reason, the price of iPhone 13 or older, which is assembled in India, has also not decreased.
Indian people will get this benefit
So if you are getting excited thinking that due to the iPhone 14 being assembled in India, its price will go down, then do not do it. Because the iPhone 14 is not guaranteed of being cheap. Currently, the iPhone 14 series is running out of stock in India, so its availability in India may increase due to production.
